Vision Gala is the one night in the year when ‘Vive Church’ shares the vision for the year to come. I was commissioned to develop a strong visual concept around the “watch this space” phrase. It would serve the purpose of revealing something new, bigger, and unexplored.
Early Study
I began with unpacking the various meanings of the word “space”, a visual void that we are naturally drawn to fill in. Then, together with the client, we realized we needed something more impactful and bold, a visual statement.
I then started exploring the idea of “space” again, but this time aiming for the stars. Quite literally.
I collected official blueprints from the NASA databases, and the core of the final concept was pretty much there:
The Final Design
Having those blueprints as my new starting point I created some evolved concept art, making it look like a blackboard on top of which an imaginary explorer, an engineer, an astronaut, or a visionary would draft, sketch and plan a soon to come journey into the outer space.
He is getting ready to explore uncharted horizons.
